The first digits are the GS1 prefix – 400–440 is Germany, 30–37 France, 50 the United Kingdom.
Nominal size is 37.29 × 25.93 mm; do not print below 80% magnification.
A UPC-A number becomes EAN-13 by adding a leading zero.
